"Lived Experience.Clinical Excellence.
Lasting Recovery.
"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate." Carl Jung
Addiction breaks us down in ways we never expect—mind, body, and spirit. It’s not just the substance; it’s the stories, the shame, and the belief that we’re beyond help.
Most of us tried to quit alone. We failed—again and again—because what we’re fighting is deeper than willpower, and deeper than our drug of choice.
I’ve lived in active addiction for a decade, and it has taken me many more years to get beyond some of the destruction. That experience allows me to support you in becoming your best self, and I’ve helped thousands like us find hope where they like us thought there was none.
Curious what makes coaching transformative? Let’s talk.
"Consistency is the rarest quality in the recovery world, and Victor Lee embodies it. He has been a beacon of hope and a strategist for my growth for years. If you want a quick fix, look elsewhere. If you want to build a lasting legacy of victory, listen to Victor"

Ready to see what’s possible with GBB Coach-U?
Choose the starting point that fits your needs:
A focused, complimentary initial consultation to introduce ourselves, evaluate alignment, and determine if Coach-U is the right fit.
Firm Time Boundary: In recovery and coaching, structure is safety. This session is strictly 30 minutes and will not be extended. High-impact coaching relies on laser focus, clarity, and mutual respect for time. Take advantage of the one-time offer in Option 2. Below.
If you are facing an urgent, complex, or pressing crisis, 30 minutes will not be enough.
Immediate Strategy & Focus: This one-time extended session gives you the time to unpack multi-layered challenges, map immediate stabilization steps, and establish a clear path forward.
I lead GBB Coach‑U, Victor Lee, a retired substance use disorder professional and person in long-term recovery for over 41 years—my lived experience of my personal addiction and recovery grounds every session. For me, coaching is, first and foremost, a process that supports you as you learn to take on every part of your life. This is the pivot toward turning sobriety into a life you love and enjoy. Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all, so no plan fits everyone. Our sessions focus on what you are experiencing in the moment and what we are working on.
Through your focus on working on yourself, my role is to share knowledge, wisdom, understanding, experience, strength, and hope.
Accountability & Trust: I commit to reminding you of your goals and calling you out. Without trust, neither of us can grow.
Radical Transparency: A big part of recovery is being able to share transparently with another human being. I will be transparent as well.
Personal Transformation: You will not be the same when you come out the other side, but you will be the person you are meant to be, not because of me, but because you did the work.

GBB Coach-U is a non-clinical, non-medical coaching service provided by Victor Lee.
Victor Lee does not practice, nor represent himself as practicing, therapy, counseling, or any clinical service, and does not hold an active clinical license.
GBB Coach-U does NOT:
Coaching is intended only for individuals who are stabilized and not in active crisis. GBB Coach-U is not appropriate for those in acute distress, in need of detox, or requiring immediate clinical intervention.
Victor Lee will always refer clients to licensed treatment providers, therapists, or medical professionals if clinical needs arise or are identified.
GBB Coach-U supports personal growth, skill-building, and accountability in recovery after primary treatment or stabilization—not to replace or duplicate clinical care.
If you are currently struggling with active substance use disorder, I insist you seek professional treatment first. I am happy to support you with a referral to reputable treatment providers. Coaching is a great tool once you’re stabilized and no longer using. While you may see it as an easier, softer option, it is never a substitute for clinical treatment, needed licensed therapy, 12-step meetings, or other interventions that are supportive of your struggle.
With Coach-U, you get more than a retired substance use disorder clinician—you get a coach with over four decades of personal recovery. I know the journey from multiple angles: as a client, parent, professional, and executive. My approach meets you where you are, helping you face your unique challenges with honesty, accountability, and the tools that actually work.
Coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused partnership designed to help you set goals, identify obstacles, and create actionable strategies for personal growth and lasting recovery. While I draw on my professional and lived experience, coaching sessions are not a substitute for clinical treatment, medical advice, or psychotherapy.
If you are in crisis or need clinical support, please seek help from a licensed mental health or addiction professional.
GBB Coach-U isn’t just another coaching program—it’s built on the hard-won lessons of lived recovery, clinical expertise, and decades of guiding real people in prisons, treatment centers, and through individual and family coaching to breakthroughs just like those I have experienced and continue to have.
I meet you where you are, blending radical honesty, empathy, and practical tools so you can move beyond old patterns and finally create the change you’ve been searching for.
This approach works because:
“When you combine lived experience with professional skill, you get more than advice—you get a roadmap home”.
Success, wealth, and status are supposed to be armor, but for many, they become a cage. You are surrounded by the signs of achievement, yet you have never been more alone. You retreat behind walls of privacy and “professionalism,” but you cannot escape the internal noise. No amount of applause or recognition can silence the truth of what is happening when the doors are closed.
Intellect, status, and money are no match for substance use disorder. Our persona—the mask we wear to project who we pretend to be—is a shadow of deceit fueled by what we dislike in ourselves. We wear it to hide the parts we refuse to face.
But here is the truth: people see us anyway.
The true cost of maintaining that mask is your physical, mental, spiritual, and relational freedom.
This trap is a snake consuming the wise and the unwise alike. Ironically, our own intelligence is often what ensnares us.
Transformation—unlike mere change—demands that we explore our blind spots: what we don’t know that we don’t know. We only reach the absolute truth about our lives by dismantling the stories we tell others and ourselves. This requires vulnerability from the inside out. It is the necessary trade-off: trading exhausting control for authentic openness, and trading isolation for true connection.
Desperation is a power unlike any other. It instantly smashes through our limiting beliefs, turning them into an unrelenting willingness to work until it hurts, and hurt until it works.
Until we become desperate enough to act, passive hope will only keep us stuck. What we tolerate will never change. If nothing changes, nothing changes.
“We cannot coach ourselves on the roads we have yet to travel.”
Transformation is like going through the eye of a needle, and you’ll want to quit. My job is to talk you off the ledge.
The moment you take the mask off, the sooner you will be able to accept what you are denying. That will be a great start.
Everything that has made you successful cannot help but where you are unwilling to budge. You can’t be where you’re unwilling to go.
“Your life is in what you are hiding.” The game you are playing is too small for who you really are, and it is killing you”.
This will require the level of loyalty you gave your disease and more, and it will cost you a whole lot less.
You must be willing to give what you want. Respect the support, your family, and yourself. No one else is coming; you are the one.
Forty years ago, I was “greasier than a restaurant mop”—and I couldn’t see it. In truth, I wasn’t ready to see it. I hadn’t reached that point of real honesty with myself.
Carl Jung said the ego and the true self are always at war. The turning point comes when you stop letting your ego, your old habits, or your pain make your decisions for you.
Here’s the truth: We are defined by what we do, not what we say we’ll do.
Transformation isn’t about losing yourself; it’s about finally meeting yourself. It’s about stripping away the layers that aren’t really you, and reclaiming the power you gave away to the old “Decision Maker.”
Change begins the moment you set your non-negotiables—those lines you will not cross, no matter what.
The choice is yours. Tomorrow is not promised.
